Board of Directors Meetings
According to Article VII, Section 4 (MEETINGS). a.)"All meetings of the Alaska Family Services' Board of Directors shall be conducted in an open manner. Reasonable notice of meetings shall be given to the public. People may request that they be placed on the agenda no more than fourteen (14) days and no less than TWENTY-FOUR (24) hours prior to the scheduled meeting. These requests must be addressed to the President or the Secretary. Members may attend any meeting without notice. b.) The following exempted subjects may be discussed in executive session:
- Matters, the immediate knowledge of which would clearly have an adverse effect upon the finances of the AFS;
- Subjects that tend to prejudice the reputation and character of any person provided that person may request a public discussion;
- Matters, which by regulation or policy, are required to be confidential.

PUBLIC NOTICE

As per Alaska Family Services Bylaws, this notice shall serve as the official notice of Alaska Family Service's intent to hold its annual meeting on November 10, 2009. It will be hld at 1825 S, Chugach St., Palmer, Alaska starting at 6:30pm.
Comments will be taken as part of a community discussion on the social service needs of the Mat-Su Valley and specifically the role of Alaska Family Services in meeting those needs.
