The Transitional Living Program

The Transitional Living Program (TLP) is designed to serve young women ages 18-22 who are homeless and in need of a safe place to live while they transition to independent living. The main purpose of the program is to provide support and structure to prepare them to live successfully on their own.

The TLP is a non-therapeutic program that helps young women who show motivation and responsibilty move towards self-sufficiency. TLP staff provides training and education in basic life skills such as, employment preparation and retention, interpersonal skills, finance management, and personal responsibility.

The TLP operates as a group living center where a maximum of six residents share kitchen and living space. The length of the stay at TLP varies depending on the needs of the individual. Residents may stay up to 18 months if necessary.
