Make someday, today! Quit smoking today!

Alaskans who use tobacco and want help to quit can now receive a free eight week supply of Nicotine Replacment Therapy (NRT) patches by calling the toll-free Alaska Tobacco Quit Line at 1-888-842-QUIT (7848).

Callers who would like patches to help them quit smoking must agree to free phone counseling. The counselors are trained to provide nicotine cessation support. They will help tobacco users establish a quit plan and quit date.

Three weeks worth of NRT patches will be sent initially, with an additional five-week supply available two weeks after the callers quit date if requested during a counseling call.

Court Ordered Youth Offender Tobacco Education (COYOTE) is a program developed by Alaska Family Services Tobacco Prevention and Control Program in response to a need identified by local judges in the Matanuska Susitna Valley. The class will be part of the sentenceing requirement for youth who are caught illegally using tobacco products.
